Booking Questions
Common questions about scheduling your appointment with Bright Futures Health.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
We typically have same-week availability. Most appointments can be scheduled within 3-5 working days. For urgent concerns, we offer emergency appointments and can often accommodate same-day or next-day bookings.
Do I need a GP referral to book?
No, you can book directly with us without a GP referral. However, some insurance providers require a referral for coverage, so please check with your insurer before booking if you're using insurance.
Can I choose which doctor I see?
Yes, you can request either Dr Gray or Dr Burmester when booking. Both are experienced consultant paediatricians with international training. If you have no preference, we'll schedule you with whichever doctor has the earliest availability.
What should I bring to the appointment?
Please bring:
• Your child's red book (Personal Child Health Record)
• Immunisation records
• Any relevant medical reports or test results
• Insurance details and pre-authorization (if applicable)
• List of current medications
• Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss
Are evening or weekend appointments available?
Yes! We offer flexible scheduling including some evening and weekend appointments to accommodate busy family schedules. Availability varies by location and doctor. Please mention your preference when booking.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a £110 fee to cover the clinical time reserved for your appointment. We understand emergencies happen - please call us to discuss if you're unable to attend.
Can I have a home visit instead of clinic appointment?
Yes, we offer home visits across Greater London. Home visits are particularly popular for newborn checks, young infants, or families with multiple children. Please mention when booking that you prefer a home visit, and we'll arrange the details with you.
Is parking available at your clinic locations?
Wimpole Street (Harley Street area): Street parking and nearby NCP car parks available. We're also easily accessible by tube (Bond Street or Oxford Circus).
Chiswick Medical Centre: Free parking available on-site.
Chelsea & Westminster Hospital: Hospital car park available (charges apply).
