Biography

Over 30 years dedicated to children's health

Dr Martin Gray is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health with over three decades of clinical experience spanning Toronto, London, and international paediatric intensive care. He trained at McMaster University in Canada and Imperial College London, developing a breadth of expertise that spans complex acute paediatrics and comprehensive preventative care.

Throughout his career, Dr Gray has worked at some of the UK's most respected children's healthcare institutions, including Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and the HCA Harley Street Clinic. His international background gives him exposure to child health systems across North America and Europe, and he brings that global perspective to every consultation.

"Children in the UK deserve the same standard of preventative healthcare that families receive in North America and elsewhere in Europe. That conviction is what led me to found Bright Futures Health."

In 2020, Dr Gray co-founded Bright Futures Health after recognising a significant gap in UK child healthcare: structured preventative paediatric care effectively stopped at age two. Drawing on the evidence-based American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures framework, he established a clinic dedicated to well-child assessments, developmental monitoring, and proactive health management from birth through to young adulthood.

Dr Gray's approach is thorough, unhurried, and family-centred. He takes time to listen — not just to the clinical history, but to the concerns and observations of parents, who he believes are the most important observers of their child's health. Families regularly comment on his ability to explain complex medical matters in plain language, and on the reassurance he provides during uncertain or stressful situations.

He has particular clinical interests in preventative and well-child care, infant and newborn assessment, childhood allergies, respiratory conditions, and growth and nutrition. For complex cases requiring subspecialty input, he works within Bright Futures Health's network of leading London consultants to ensure families receive coordinated, comprehensive care.
