Important Update for Allianz and Cigna Health Insurance Clients: Changes to Reimbursement Process

At Bright Futures Health, we are committed to providing outstanding care and support for families. This includes making the billing and insurance process as smooth and transparent as possible. However, due to ongoing administrative challenges, we are significantly changing how we handle claims involving Allianz and Cigna health insurance policies.

What’s Changing?

Effective immediately, Bright Futures Billing will no longer submit claims directly to Allianz or Cigna on behalf of clients. Instead, we will issue invoices to our clients, who should submit them to their insurer for reimbursement.

Why Is This Change Happening?

Over the past year, we have experienced a significant increase in the administrative burden required to manage claims with Allianz and Cigna. Despite our team’s best efforts, delayed processing times, inconsistent communication, and frequent claim rejections have made it increasingly challenging to deliver a reliable and timely billing experience for our families. These delays have impacted our administrative efficiency and led to frustration and uncertainty for our clients.

To address this and ensure that we can continue focusing on clinical care and service excellence, we have made the difficult decision to transition to a client-led reimbursement model for Allianz and Cigna policyholders.

What Do You Need To Do?

From now on:

  • You will receive an invoice directly from Bright Futures Billing for your consultation or treatment.

  • You should then submit this invoice and any supporting documentation (e.g., referral letters or receipts) directly to your health insurer for reimbursement.

We recommend checking with your insurer in advance to ensure you understand the required documentation and the claims submission process. Most insurers, including Allianz and Cigna, provide online portals or apps that make this process straightforward.
