About Analou
Analou Sugar is a certified Paediatric Speech-Language Therapist with specialist expertise in two of the most common — and often most distressing — challenges families face: feeding difficulties and communication delays. She holds an NHS position at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital while running private paediatric speech and language therapy across multiple London clinics.
Analou's feeding therapy practice spans the full paediatric spectrum: from newborns struggling with latch and bottle feeding, to toddlers refusing solid textures, to older children with complex swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). She is trained in IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) frameworks and works closely with paediatric dietitians and gastroenterologists where the clinical picture requires a multidisciplinary approach.
In communication therapy, Analou works with children presenting with speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, social communication difficulties, and selective mutism. Her approach is evidence-based, family-centred, and adapted to each child's developmental level and individual personality — recognising that no two children respond to therapy in the same way.
Analou carries out detailed assessment and therapy in both clinic and home settings when appropriate, and provides clear reports and home programmes that empower families to continue progress between sessions. Her referrals from Bright Futures come with shared clinical notes and direct communication, ensuring she has full context before the first appointment.
