About Mr Choudhry

Mr Muhammad Shaur Choudhry is one of London's most experienced Consultant Paediatric and Neonatal Surgeons, with over 15 years at consultant level. He is Lead Paediatric Colorectal Surgeon at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and Service Lead for Paediatric Surgery and Urology across West London — overseeing one of the highest-volume paediatric surgical services in the capital.

Trained across some of the world's leading paediatric centres — Dublin, Oxford, Cambridge, and Great Ormond Street Hospital — Mr Choudhry brings exceptional breadth to his practice. His surgical repertoire spans the full range of paediatric conditions, from complex neonatal emergencies requiring urgent surgical intervention, to elective procedures for older children and adolescents.

A leading expert in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, Mr Choudhry consistently achieves excellent outcomes with minimal recovery time. His specialist interest in paediatric colorectal surgery encompasses conditions including Hirschsprung's disease and inflammatory bowel disease, where he works closely with gastroenterology colleagues to deliver integrated care.

His neonatal surgical expertise covers the full range of life-limiting conditions requiring early intervention, and his experience in paediatric urology includes hypospadias repair, orchidopexy, and the management of complex urological anomalies from infancy.

Mr Choudhry also performs tongue-tie (ankyloglossia) division — a procedure that can transform feeding and speech outcomes in infants and young children. Referrals from Bright Futures Health come with full clinical notes and follow-up communication to ensure continuity of care throughout the surgical pathway.
